Saks Debuts Pop-Up Shopping Experience in Aspen

This past weekend, Saks showcased its wares in a 2,000-square-foot space in Aspen for its first-ever immersive pop-up experience. The retailer marked the occasion by flying guests into town, hosting an array of outdoor activities, and providing gift bags stuffed with goodies and, most importantly, Saks Aspen swag.
As somebody who has never been to Aspen, my first impression was that Saks fit right in with the quaint streets lined with boutiques, coffee shops, and the White House Tavern, a sandwich shop in a 19th-century miners’ cottage. A ski-resort town in the Rocky Mountains, Aspen is the playground for some very wealthy people, including Oprah, who has a home there with its own ski path. Chic.
